Redbridge Wharf
Lockton Lane
Presented by Bruce Armstrong

Lockton lane is a fictitious layout set between 1987 & 1992. It is based at the end of a branch line in North Hampshire, just south west of Reading & Basingstoke serving a small town with a virtual quarry and a Ministry of Defence (MOD) Depot.

The depot supports NSE locos and 2 car diesel multiple units which serve the branch line to Reading and Basingstoke.

The depot also has a head-shunt which serves the virtual quarry with ballast trains and Permanent Way Support wagons. MOD trains are shunted to the head-shunt before locos take over and move the various wagons to various parts of the UK. Due to world-wide events, the military is on high alert, so there is a significant number of movements in and out of the MOD depot via Lockton Lane.

Lockton Lane was built by Tim Lowe in 2021 during COVID. Huge respect to Tim for building a great layout that offers lots of running variety.
