Thanks to lovely weather and the hard work of Rob and Ferne, the Summer Party was a great success. Thank you both and to all who produced the food. 

Our visit to Andover is planned for October. More details will come from Dudley Alleway after the September GOG meeting. September brings the exhibition season again and the club will be represented at the Rotary exhibition in Romsey with demonstrations and Ray’s layout Wykham.

OO gauge Matters 

Running nights are taking on a planned sequence of moves. It is not as easy as you think to produce a sequence and then operate it. Practise is needed and what better way than to spend the evening running some trains.

EM gauge Matters 

I have noted some scenic items appearing on the layout and having sorted most of the electrical puzzles out, I know good use will be made on random running nights.

O gauge Matters 

Progress is being made with the rewiring of canal Junction. It is hoped to have a running session in September as planned using 
Itchen Bottom and the new Canal Junction panel.

Other Business

The Christmas party this year is not yet fixed. Would anyone like to volunteer to host the party at their home? You all know what is involved. Please let me know as soon as possible if we may hold the party at your house. 

The Annual General Meeting will take place in October. Please give some thought to this. Do we want some more Topic Evenings? If so - subjects please. Are there any other visits you would like to make?
