Since the last C.C., we have had a very successful summer party although the weather did make things a little difficult. Thanks are due to Sam and Sue for coping so well with everything.

From the events list you will see that Morella and I will host the next “do”. It was Morella who, feeling better these days, suggested that we would be able to take our turn again. I am sure we may receive a little help on the day from close neighbours!

OO gauge Matters 

The colour light signals have now been installed and very good they look.

EM gauge Matters 

Essential maintenance has been carried out on the existing layout over the last few weeks. 

Consideration is now being given to building a new EM exhibition layout using Maurie’s old baseboards. This will provide the club with a small layout capable of being carried in a car to exhibitions.

O gauge Matters 

Whilst small details are being added to Abbotstone, the major track-laying project is under way at Itchen Bottom. Four weeks have been allowed to install and get working this change to the track and if all goes well, running will be possible through the new track 
on 5^th September. Temporary point switches will be used until the new panel etc is installed.
