That’s another A.G.M. over and we begin our new year with new budgets agreed with a lot of plans to fulfill.

OO gauge Matters 

There appears to be little going on with Itchen Vale at present. I know there are plans to rewire and thus improve the operating generally.

EM gauge Matters 

Track-laying on the new layout continues slowly. Meanwhile, Mauries’ wagons that were fitted his auto-couplings are being fitted with 3-link couplings, and those requiring repair are receiving attention.

O gauge Matters 

Itchen Bottom’s rewiring is about midway at present. There are bound to be a few amendments to be made once all is up and running, the odd track break moved etc, to get the best out of the rewire. Once we are happy with general running we shall begin to bring the new panel into use and arrange for some running sessions. In the long term I shall produce a sequence of moves that will cover all of the layout and allow trains produced on the night to be used. Remember we can use up to 12 members on any one running night, each filling one position. Any less, well we all have 2 hands don’t we!!

Other Business 

The Christmas Party will be held at Brian and Kay’s home this year. Thank you both for allowing us into your home on 17^th December.  Brian will soon be asking for your suggestions for the menu. 

One bit of late news: Abbotstone has been invited to the Warley Exhibition in November 2010.
