Chairman’s Chatter

For obvious reasons this quarter’s newsletter is a different format.

Outings:

Micheldever 180 Celebration is postponed. Sue Bell the organiser is stuck in Italy and not sure when she will be home. A new date will be advised in due course.

Winterley Junction attending Brockenhurst in May is also cancelled, as is the Twyford waterworks open day.

From July onwards we shall have to wait and see what transpires.

Club.

I suggest that there are NO further club nights on a Wednesday until further notice. However, if an item on Nick’s ‘to do’ list is something you can collect and complete at home then why not have a trip in daylight and collect the item, or use the club facilities.

Likewise, if you have personal possessions in the club, take a trip up there and collect if you wish.

Show and Tell in May is cancelled.

 

Other Matters.

Rich’s video of Redbridge Wharf was excellent and if interested have a look at the “twitter” show being put on in place of Ally Pally.

I have added a page to my website www.winterleyproducts.co.uk re Bigbury-on-Sea which you may be interested in. Because Roger’s machine is broken at present, I asked York Model Making to laser cut and etch my platforms. Now arrived and being prepared for fixing down. Pics below, unpainted and in grey primer.

 

 

Virtual Club.

I do hope you all keep well and hope to hear of your modelling progress from time to time to keep us all up to date.

To aid communication we are setting up a virtual clubroom with a “WhatsApp” group for members to share, ask and generally chatter about our hobby.  You need a smartphone with the free app downloaded to join. If you are having problems joining the group, email Nick or Rich S.
