CHAIRMAN'S CHATTER
Chairman's Chatter is compiled quarterly, in February, May, August and November by our Chairman John Shaw. John summarizes the latest developments in the club covering general news, exhibition reports, developments in the clubs three layouts, and any other notices. November 09

Hopefully most of you will have received this newsletter as an email and if you wish you have been able to print it successfully. You will notice that there are two sides as I agreed to publish an up to date exhibition list to all of you. Please note that Bristol is now confirmed but the Whitchurch event is not yet confirmed.

September seems to be a busy month if our events list is anything to go by.

OO gauge Matters

The greyhound stadium has been installed and looks very good. No doubt discussions will continue as to how to rewire the layout to give more flexible and improved running potential.

EM gauge Matters

Ballasting continues using yet another method that I had not heard of before and seems very easy giving a professional result.

O gauge Matters

Whilst final changes are made at Itchen Bottom to complete the rewire, repairs etc. have been made at Abbotstone. In view of the Bristol show, amendments will not be made to the fiddle yard until after that event, although I hope to start point building shortly and Jeff will proceed with the replacement panel.

Other Business

The Christmas Party is in a few weeks time thanks to Dave and Jeanne. The usual payment arrangements will apply with a per person charge offset by any expenses for the food donation you may wish to claim.
Following the clear out of rubbish, if you wish to remove anything for your own use, please do so now as soon it will be dumped!
